Feminine Holiday Outfit Inspiration + Custom Christmas Cards

FEMININE HOLIDAY OUTFIT INSPO 

And as promised, here is some feminine holiday outfit inspiration, for your fun holiday gatherings. Here is one from my very own closet:

For the holiday season, I tend to go for more textures and richer colors. Ever since last year, I've been loving velvet. Not only is it pretty, but it's also rich in texture and gives any outfit the perfect holiday vibe. One of my favorite colors to wear during the holidays is maroon, so for this holiday inspired outfit, I brought out my maroon Toms ankle booties. To top off my holiday look, I brought out a jeweled statement necklace, because the holiday season calls for glitz and glamour.

This outfit is for you if: You have a skirt you really love to wear during the holidays. 

If you have a dressier/fancier skirt you really love to wear, you can use it as the main subject of your next holiday outfit. I picked out this velvet pleated skirt, because it combines two textures (velvet-y goodness and pretty pleats). I centered all the other pieces around the skirt, but I didn't want to pair anything too plain with it. After all, it's a holiday inspired outfit! Every piece has a small detail that makes take away the plain-ness. For example, the black turtleneck has bell sleeves and the black flats have faux fur trim.

Tip: Check your closet for "elevated" basics to pair with your dressier/fancier skirts.

This outfit is for you if: You're already missing Spring or have a favorite Spring dress. 

I know I'm not the only one missing Spring. I also know I'm not the only one who has a favorite Spring dress. There are always so many events during spring such as weddings, baby showers, graduations, etc that we buy dresses for. They don't have to stay hidden in the closet until next year though! I paired this gorgeous pastel spring wrap dress with nudes and pinks. The added textures were pearls and the faux fur purse.

Tip: Pair your favorite spring dress with a leather jacket and add some texture through your accessories.

This outfit is for you if: You're feminine, but also a little edgy.

Feminine fashion isn't all just about pink and pastel colors. If you love feminine fashion, but like to mix in some edgy into your outfits, this one's for you. The velvet blazer was the main piece here, since it is elegant and chic. The feminine piece was the top, and instead of just pairing this with a plain black skirt, I used a black pleated skirt to add texture and visual appeal. I kept the purse and shoes to a minimum, since the blazer was really the star of this outfit.

Tip: Pair a fabulous blazer (bold print/texture/etc) with a feminine top, a skirt with a bit of visual appeal, and minimal accessories.

Tip: Find one feminine cold weather piece to match your pink and girly accessories with.

This outfit is for you if: You are just a girly girl at heart.

I'm a girly girl at heart, so this outfit made my heart flutter a little. I love the color pink, and I tend to wear it year round. The trick is to find feminine cold weather fashion. I paired this beige sweater that has a slight ruffle on the shoulders, which makes it easy to pair with pink and girly accessories.

This outfit is for you if: You love classic feminine style.

If you are a classic girl, then these dresses are for you. These are in traditional holiday colors, but contain feminine details, such as ruffles and flutter sleeves. I paired these dresses with beige and gold accessories, but they could also be paired with classic black accessories. To wrap up a classic look, adorn yourself with pearls.

Tip: Start off with a feminine dress in traditional holiday colors and add accessories in classic colors such as nude or black.

This outfit is for you if: You want to look cute but be comfy.

Leopard print is so trendy right now, so I definitely wanted to include an outfit with leopard print. If you're all about comfort, but still love feminine fashion, pick a comfy cardigan and a stretchy pencil skirt as your base for your outfit. I picked out this textured pencil skirt to have an "elevated" basic piece. Afterwards, finish off your holiday outfit with a print. This outfit is definitely comfortable, but also feminine and trendy. Instead of heels, I opted for a fun leopard print mule.

Tip: Pick a comfy cardigan and stretchy skirt as a base for your cute and comfy look.
