Song of Solomon 4:7
There's so many of you out there, (including myself) that at times don't feel beautiful and/or our self esteems plummet down when we see photos of "beautiful" people, or the idea of beauty we have formed in our heads. Beauty doesn't have to do with having the most "likes"or comments, nor does it have to do with how many compliments we got that day. Beauty isn't wearing makeup, fancy hair, nor trendy clothes either. (1 Peter 3:3) In fact, beauty doesn't have to do with anything on the outside. Who we are is what makes us beautiful. Our beauty should come from the inside, as cliche as that might sound. (1 Peter 3:4) We are God's creation. God doesn't make mistakes, so what makes you think He made a mistake when He made you? He made you exactly how you're supposed to be. If we don't fit into the world's idea of beauty, that's okay because remember we aren't of this world anyways. I encourage you to look at the person in front of the mirror and say, "You are beautiful, my darling, there is no flaw in you. God made you and therefore you are beautiful, no matter what anyone says. God made you for a purpose and if you're still breathing and reading this, you have a greater purpose in life."
